First Community Arena Still Carries Its Vadalabene Center History

SIUE's home floor opened on December 5, 1984 as part of the Sam M. Vadalabene Center. A $6 million renovation followed in 2008, with the building rededicated in February 2009; the First Community Arena name arrived through a 2019 agreement. Capacity is just over 4,000, and a post-renovation crowd of 4,157 watched SIUE face Murray State in 2012.
